Which countries and levels do you cover?
We currently focus on Thailand, China and Asia-Pacific. Support include school, undergraduate and postgraduate degree, depending on the destination, institution and programme. We welcome enquiries from students of any nationality.
Is the initial consultation really free?
Yes. The first 30-minute consultation is free and carries no obligation to proceed. We use the conversation to understand your goals, answer initial questions and explain suitable next steps. Any fee for further support is provided in writing before you commit.
Do I need to speak Thai or Chinese to apply?
Not necessarily. Thailand and China offer both local-language and English-taught options, depending on the institution and programme. Chinese-taught programmes commonly require HSK evidence, while English-taught programmes may require an accepted English-language qualification.
How early should I start?
Starting early gives you more time for research, tests, documents, scholarships and visa preparation. As a general guide, begin 9–12 months before the semester start. However, we also very happy to help with last minutes application deadline.
Are scholarships available?
Scholarships are available across all three destinations, but eligibility, coverage and competition vary significantly. Options may include government, university and programme-specific awards. We can help identify suitable routes and prepare a stronger application, but no scholarship outcome can be guaranteed.
Does Found Academic charge a service fee?
The fee model depends on the institution and type of support. Found Academic may receive a commission from an education provider, charge a service fee, or use a combination of both. Any applicable fee and scope of work will be explained in writing before you proceed. The initial consultation is free.
Found Academic charges a transparent service fee ranging from $0 to a maximum of $1,500 USD. All fees are disclosed in writing before you make any commitment.
Does Found Academic receive commission from institutions?
In some cases, yes. Some education providers pay a commission for student recruitment or application support. Where this applies, we remain committed to recommending options based on the student's goals and suitability. Students may ask us how a particular recommendation is funded.
Can I apply by myself?
Yes. Many students apply directly. Our role is to help students save time, understand requirements, compare realistic options, strengthen documents and manage more complex application or scholarship processes.
What happens if my application is unsuccessful?
Admission and scholarship decisions are made by institutions and awarding bodies, so no consultant can guarantee an outcome. We focus on submitting a complete, accurate and well-prepared application. If an application is unsuccessful, we can review the result and discuss appropriate alternatives.
Do you provide services for schools and universities?
Yes. Found Academic may support institutions with international student recruitment, market development and selected education technology solutions. Institutional enquiries are reviewed separately from student consultations.
Can Found Academic guarantee a student visa?
No. Visa decisions are made by the relevant government authority. We can help students understand the process, organise supporting documents and identify official sources, but we cannot guarantee approval.
